LEAP and Honors Connection

To qualify for the Honors Program, LEAP students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. LEAP students who enter the Honors Program after their freshman year are given credit for having taken two Honors courses, if they have completed both fall and spring semester LEAP courses. After being admitted into the Honors Program, they will take one semester of the Honors Core in Intellectual Traditions, one semester of Honors Writing (either Honors 2211 or 3200), and one additional Honors course to complete the Honors Certificate. Honors students must maintain a 3.5 or better GPA and may not AP out of any of the five courses required for the Honors Certificate. One additional Honors course and an Honors Thesis are required to graduate with an Honors Degree.
